M3 Rock Festival 2011 at Merriweather Post Pavilion

TL;DR @ the bottom.

I'd like to ask for some help.  Here's my situation:  I'm a HUGE fan of metal and am not going to miss out on this festival, no matter what.  I got my ticket, I'm about to buy my roundtrip bus ticket, pretty already know what I'm going to bring with me, but there is one problem:  I'm 20.  This means that all of the hotels that are close to the venue will give me a "fuck you, your money isn't good here" if I try to check in.

Now I suppose that most people would say, "okay, no big deal I have friends that are over 21 that listen to the same music I listen to, so they will help me out." That's a no-can-do in my case.  I have a very small social circle (pretty much just my co-workers... if they count, I guess that this is what I get for being into glam metal in this day and at my age) and one of my coworkers that actually IS into this style of music has pretty much let me know that he doesn't want to come.  So once again, I'm on my own.

For the past month, I've been contemplating just staying out in between Friday and Saturday and taking my chances, but after thinking about for a little longer, I realize that this could be more problemsome that I originally thought.  I never really even thought about the fact that I may have to piss.  Where would I go?  And I may have some sleeping issues too 'cause I doubt that Eddie Trunk's new book is going to be exciting enough to keep me from sleeping after a 15 hr. day and I don't want to fall asleep on the streets and wake up with all of my merchandise and SIGNED items gone... or not wake up at all.

So basically I'm just asking if anybody who is staying at the Sheraton (or any hotel within walking distance, I'm used to walking 3.5 miles on days when I go to work) if they could spare some space for me.  Like I said, it's going to be just me. I'm VERY low maintenance.  I'll just sleep on the floor and won't even ask for a cover and all I'm bringing with me is a small, grocery-sized bag with an album jacket, some reading material, and CD booklets that I'll hopefully get signed.  You can just stick me in a corner.  I would like to think that I'm responsible for the most part.  By that, I mean that I'm not trying to break anything and do anything stupid.  I'm also not trying to get drunk and have somebody thrown in jail (along with me) for providing alcohol to a minor.  I just want a place to sleep... on the floor and I require nothing else.

If anybody would like to help me out, please PM me and we can go over your conditions (how much moolah you want ;)) and we can see where it goes from there.  If not, I understand.  You guys owe me nothing and I'm not entitled to anything, I just thought that NO1AEROFAN had a point in that I should at least TRY to get a room before I throw myself to the mercy of the streets.

It looks like my issue has been resolved.  I would like to thank everybody who was concerned about my well-being and my safety.  I'd also like to thank everybody who offered to help me out.  No hard feelings towards anybody who didn't want to/couldn't help out, 'cause like I said, I'm not entitled to anything.

If they are.. I would like to invite them to come out to my little Pre-Party with WILDSTREET as guests of mine. I know it's only a $5.00 cover but I think these people should be rewarded in some way, this is my little way of doing that.  I think it is great that someone came forward to help you out.

yep, chatted with Stacey and Phil right out the main doors.  I still like the Sheraton because I can walk.  Met Reb at the little bar down the street(cant remember, everyone goes there) and saw a few others I didnt get a chance to talk to.  Dont really care about any other hotel as this is where all my friends are staying too.

I'm covered either way.  We are at the Sheraton and have band friends staying wherever the bands are even if thats the Hilton.  Plus we are at the Hilton for Thursday night.  So if the bands are in fact staying at the Hilton, they will be getting in Thursday too.  Especially for the ones playing Friday night.

Yeah, we did stay at the Sheraton last year and are staying this year too...Fri and Sat night.  I really hope that's where the bands stay again too because it wqas a blast last year...got to party with the guys from LA Guns and Trixter until the wee hours.  Either way though, it will be fun to party with everybody there!  I didn't know though that M3 had changed the official hotel....still happy to be at the Sheraton though especially since it's so close to the venue.
