I live in Seattle and am seriously thinking about making the trip. Has there been any problems with this festival in the past? Poor planning, band cancellations, etc? It would cost a bit to get out there and I want to make sure this thing is worth it. The bands this year are amazing! Thanks.

I've been all three years and have never seen a band cancel or any other issue other than a little rain last year. Don't miss it. Always a great time.

Never been an issue. We've had fans come two years in a row from Australia for this festival. Go ahead and make the trip with confidence.

PS - Go Seahawks!

And just go to Walmart or CVS or somewhere like that and buy a cheap clear rain poncho just in case it rains.  Not perfect but better than carrying an umbrella and they fit in your pocket.  CVS had them for less than $4.

That was us that made the trip twice from Australia :)  It's a $20,000 round trip for us each year, so this year we need to step back and have a cry about not joining you guys again :(

Without a doubt, we've never been to a concert or festival like M3. Its a killer show, great bands, and well worth the trip from ANYWHERE.

Each year the show gets bigger, better, and more well organised. But that's not to say it's been unorganised at all.

The only complains we've heard, are that some bands overlap. We're fine with that. Looks like the organisers are trying to sort that issue out this year, and are also including big screens so you don't have to run from one stage to another.

Definately make the trip. You will not regret it.

Well, I'm sold!  This will be my first M3 Fest and my friend and I are making a SHORT trip compared to you Aussies and west coast folks...think it's about a 7 hour drive from western NY state and I believe it's going to be worth every minute and penny spent to get there.  Love reading all the positive posts - can't wait for May!  :)
