Longtime English rock band The Who announced fall/winter 2012-2013 headlining tour dates. The North American tour begins November 1 in Sunrise,Florida and ends February 26,2013 in Providence,Rhode Island. In total the band will perform 36 shows broken down in two separate tour legs. The Who's 2012-2013 run will be the band's first North American tour in four years. During the tour The Who will be performing their 1973 double album "Quadrophenia" in its entirety,along with a selection of Who classics. Founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joined onstage with Zak Starkey (drums),Pino Palladino (bass),Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals),Chris Stainton (keyboards),Loren Gold (keyboards/backing vocals) and Frank Simes (musical director,keyboards/backing vocals).
Pre-sale tickets for The Who's tour goes on sale beginning July 20 at 10:00 a.m. and only member's of the band's fan club are subject to gaining access to those tickets. The American Express pre-sale for The Who's North American tour goes on sale beginning July 23. General public tickets goes on sale beginning Friday,July 27 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
